Subway Art Plaque 2
A friend just had her second baby boy. I had made a similar plaque a couple of years ago for her first son and she requested a matching one for baby Cru. I bought the frames to paint a few years ago and am out of them....hopefully baby three is a girl so we can work with something different :)

New Stuff
I've not posted in a while...I'm beginning a new photography business. I've been taking photos of my own children for 16 years. This summer I finally upgraded my camera, and started taking photos of friends' babies. I discovered that all my years of paper crafting has really prepared me for this! Color, composition, Photoshop, backdrop engineering...it all works together to help make beautiful portraits. Now I just have to learn the business side of things...feel free to check out Thyme of Your Life Photography's blog to see some of the adorable babies and children.
On another note...I'm still making baby plaques. Personalization has always been important to me. I just shipped a plaque to a friend whom the military has moved across the country. She was the first one I made a plaque for. This is the fourth plaque I've given to her. Baby Isaac is due quite soon! She didn't know I was sending it, so am hoping it gets there in one piece and is a happy surprise.
All artwork if from Just So Scrappy Too's Outlet. The set is called "Playful Paws." I hand cut all the layers, instead of using my trusty Silhouette. Many of the parts are layered with mounting tape to add dimension.

Pinterest Night 2
During our Pinterest Party we had fun making a couple of crafts. When ladies arrived they put together a Mason Jar tumbler.
We added chalkboard Con-tact paper to the lids and pretty paper straws.
At the end of the evening we made clothes pin magnets decorated with Washi Tape.
I mentioned in yesterday's post that I had quotes all around the room...here's a sample of what makes me laugh and think...
During the evening, a friend shared about comparing ourselves with each other and how we're all gifted differently...and that is OKAY. Be grateful for who God made you to be.

Pinterest Night
Enjoyed an evening of fellowship, food and crafting with the ladies at church. We tried to set the evening up so that those who are Pinterest fanatics and those who have a life outside of Pinterest could both enjoy the evening. We had a potluck where we encouraged bringing a recipe that was pinned, found on the internet or even just a recipe clipped from a magazine. We also had a show and tell and made a couple of crafts.
I decorated the tables with Mason Jar projects from Pinterest and quotes I've enjoyed. All the projects are pinned on my Pinterest Party Board.
I had a table with jars for candles...
These pretty vintage jars and coffee filter flowers decorated another table.
A collection of jars containing gifts on another...
Christmas ideas on another...
And finally a table devoted to utilitarian ideas...
Tomorrow I'll post some of the quotes used around the room as well as the group crafts.
