Graduation Cards

Every year I try and mass produce cards for all the graduation announcements that come in our mail. I usually try and incorporate school colors when possible. Here is this years card.  The only place I managed to sneak some color in was the tie around the diploma. If I hadn't cut and glued all the "Congrats", I probably would have done those in school colors too.
The Silhouette is a free border from Free SVG & MTC Graduation Series and the Congrats and Diploma were free from Paper Scissors Ink.  I cut them out using Make the Cut software and my die cutter.

  1. Can I ask how you made the text in two colors? I tried the shadow feature and that's really large.. I also tried just increasing the size but it was way off (much wider and then letters didn't really match up.).. your card turned out great!

  2. Angela, If you're using Make the Cut you can adjust the shadow width. When you choose the shadow layer a window with a slider bar in it comes up that you can adjust until you like it. Some times it makes a bigger jump than I'd like, haven't worked out what makes the difference yet...possibly starting size? This one worked pretty well though.

  3. I'm using Sure Cuts A lot so not sure if I have that option.. thanks so much for getting back to me. My sister in laws card turned out cute. I had downloaded the same SVGs but it really helped to see your card as an inspiration!
